An exquisite Kyo-Kiyomizu ware matcha bowl (chawan) hand-crafted by certified Master Artisan Jogaku Hashimoto III, featuring a poetic Autumn Grass ("Akikusa") motif.

Since the ancient Man'yoshu era, autumn grasses (Akikusa) have held a special place in Japanese aesthetics, representing quiet elegance and deep sentiment. In traditional Japanese culture, a field filled with blooming autumn flowers is known as Hanano (Flower Field). Nobility and poets would stroll through these autumn fields to compose Tanka and Haiku poems. This bowl beautifully captures the poetic serenity of a romantic autumn stroll through the Hanano.

• Artisan: Jogaku Hashimoto III (三代目 橋本城岳)

• Kiln: Founded 80 years ago, specializing in high-end matcha tea utensils.

• Certification: Recognized in 2022 (Reiwa 4) as an official Designated Traditional Craftsman (伝統工芸士) by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

• Studio & Gallery: Operating from Kyoto, the artist and his ceramicist wife, Kanako Naito, also run the artisan boutique "Gallery KACCO" near Kyoto's famous Fushimi Inari Shrine.

【Care Instructions】

• Before use, lightly rinse the bowl with water.

• After use, gently wash with lukewarm water as soon as possible.
  In most cases, water alone is sufficient.

• If necessary, use a small amount of mild dish soap and a soft sponge.

• Please avoid scrubbing the painted areas or soaking the bowl for extended periods.

• Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth and allow the bowl to air-dry completely before storing.

• Do not use in a microwave, dishwasher, or oven.
  

【お手入れ方法】
・ご使用前に、さっと水にくぐらせてからお使いください。
・ご使用後は、できるだけ早めにぬるま湯でやさしく洗ってください。
通常は洗剤を使わず、お湯洗いで十分です。
・汚れが気になる場合のみ、中性洗剤を少量使用し、やわらかいスポンジで軽く洗ってください。
・絵付け部分を強くこすったり、つけ置き洗いはお控えください。
・洗浄後は水気を拭き取り、十分に乾燥させてから保管してください。
・電子レンジ、食洗機、オーブンのご使用はお控えください。
