To ensure you experience the true beauty of nature, izuko uses a significantly higher concentration of essential oils than standard aromatherapy candles. While these rare, precious oils make the candle a luxury item, we invite you to indulge in the rich, deep aroma of our 100% pure natural essential oils.

• Hiba (檜葉) We use premium essential oil from Aomori Prefecture, meticulously distilled over time. It features a refreshing forest atmosphere mixed with a subtly sweet, woody undertone. Compared to Hinoki (Japanese Cypress), Hiba offers a more powerful, vibrant, and fresh wood aroma—making you feel as if you are walking through a pristine forest filled with crisp morning air.

• Yuzu (柚子) We use a rare essential oil that captures the scent of freshly squeezed Yuzu. The fruits are grown along the pristine Shimanto River in Kochi Prefecture, enduring the intense summer heat before their peels are carefully extracted. Yuzu is Japan's signature citrus, characterized by an elegant freshness and a deep, subtle bitterness. In Japan, there is a long-standing tradition of taking a hot Yuzu bath on the winter solstice to ward off colds. In recent years, its complex and deep aroma has gained global recognition, finding its way into high-end culinary and cosmetic products worldwide.

This product is made with 100% natural, plant-based soy wax. Compared to petroleum-based waxes like paraffin or gel, soy wax produces significantly less soot and smoke, making it a cleaner, safer choice for your home. It also melts at a lower temperature and burns more slowly, creating a softer, gentler glow and a longer burn time. Although soy wax is more costly, izuko is dedicated to using 100% soy wax so you can enjoy a warm, gentle light with complete peace of mind.
