Le Sencha - Workshop at Maison de la Culture du Japon, Paris

We are honored to announce that Minoru Handa, President of Tokyo Handa-En, hosted a special Sencha workshop, "Le sencha : Découverte du thé vert japonais," supported by the Tokyo Tea Association.


During the sessions, we explored the nuances of Sencha, focusing on the differences in steaming levels—light, medium, and deep. Participants learned how these levels affect the color, aroma, and flavor of the tea, followed by a hands-on experience brewing their own perfect cup using a Kyusu (Japanese teapot).
While "Matcha" is a global phenomenon, we believe that Sencha and other Japanese teas deserve just as much recognition. As a specialty tea shop with 210 years of history, TOKYO HANDA TEA is committed to sharing the diverse world of Japanese tea beyond just Matcha.
